Class was cancelled yesterday, and I spent a decent chunk of my day working on some of my projects. I feel like I’ve done a lot of designing this week alone compared to the rest of the semester (this is definitely an untrue statement, but I still feel like I did a lot).

The video sign was a really short project, but it was still really fun to scrape something together. I thought a horizontal layout fit better, and I knew I wanted the camera graphic to be on the right side of the sign. Other than that, I had no idea what I wanted to do. The blue camera “rays” were a last minute decision, but I like that it eliminates some of the awkward white space.

I’ve still been struggling a bit to get back into making my 10 piece campaign. I had a fun time making the button designs, but I couldn’t think of a lot of variations. For the Smiley Series and the Whimsy Series I think I need to get rid of the pink color scheme on at least one because I feel like having the same shade of pink is a little weird to have in both. Designing the menu was pretty fun, and that’s what I spent most of yesterday doing. I’m not finished with it yet, but as of right now, I can’t think of anything else I need to do with it so I’m going to focus on another piece in my campaign for a while until I think of something.

My personal campaign is one of my favorite things I’ve been working on. I’m still in the brainstorming stage, though. I know I want to make my own sticker design and have them at my table at the portfolio show, but I don’t know what else to add to my campaign besides the usual logo and business card. For a while, I was thinking of making a custom designed air freshener, but it’s a little pricey.

All of my projects are still in the works, but I’m really happy with how much I’ve gotten done on them so far!
